Cadbury owner Mondelez brings more Dairy Milk production back to Bournville in a £15m boost.

Big news for the United Kingdom and the West Midlands as Mondelez International has announced that they will be bringing most Dairy Milk production back to Bournville, Birmingham.

The move is part of a £15m investment plan into the famous production site that will see more Dairy Milk bars made here, 125 million more to be precise.

What’s more, this will allow the firm to consolidate production here moving forward from 2022.

Mondelez International are now the sole owner of the great British brand. You may remember that Kraft PLC took ownership in 2010, before Mondelez broke away two years ago.

Now, Dairy Milk production is coming back to Cadbury’s iconic home of Bournville. This is great news during what are still very uncertain times.

Louise Stigant, UK managing director at Mondelez International, said: “At a time when manufacturing in the UK is facing significant challenges, it has never been more vital to secure the long-term competitiveness and sustainability of our business.

“We now have an opportunity at Bournville to further invest in its future as the home and heart of Cadbury by bringing more Cadbury Dairy Milk production to Bournville.
